(SWM) Birthday Packages can be confirmed with as little as 4 children, or 4 swimming guests. Children must be 6 years of age or older at the time of the party in order to swim with the fish/mermaids. For safety reasons we are limited to 8 swimmers. Adding additional swimmers after initial confirmation will be allowed only if space is available through the dive program. A signed waiver is required for each swimmer at check-in time. Swimmers without signed waivers will NOT be allowed to go in the tank and no refund will be given. Be aware that your party may be swimming in the exhibits with other swimmers that are not part of your party. Swim parties require coordination for the birthday department, please email your inquiry to [email protected] to discuss further. The Swim with The Mermaids will not be offered until further notice, due to COVID restrictions. Cancellation policy for all birthday parties require a 14 day notice prior to the party date. 50% of the WTP/SWM price will be charged to your credit card for cancelling off any child or swimmer from time of booking to 1 day prior to your party for any reason, including change of mind or “cold feet”. Substituting one swimmer for another is allowed but must be done through the Birthday Party Coordinator. No shows, “cold feet”, or cancellations on the day of your party will be charged full price to your credit card as space has been held for you that could have been filled by other programs and forfeit their $150.00 deposit. All cancellations for Birthday Parties must be received at least 14 days prior to your reservation date; otherwise your $150 deposit will be non-refunded. Cancellations 3 days prior or no-shows to any party package on the day of the party will incur a 100% cancellation charge to your credit card on file.

Mermaid Birthday Appearances

Dive Sign:
- Sink a custom sign inside our exhibits on tour for $150!
- This must be reserved at least two weeks in advance.
- We can also arrange a Happy Birthday sign delivered by a diver or mermaid during your guided tour in our Under the Sea exhibit or restaurant!
- This must be reserved at least two weeks in advance via Birthday Reservation Request Form
Animal Ambassador Visits
One of Aquarium Animal Ambassadors will visit your party during their dining time in Sharkey’s Fun Zone!- Have our armadillo, blue and gold macaw, tortoise, snakes, or reptiles visit your party for 15 minutes (age restrictions applied).

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does that work? Adults are not included in any of our party packages, but you have a few options when it comes to adults guests attending your party. We give one free adult every 5 children that attend your party. If adults would like to join on the tour through the exhibit, they will need an exhibit admission. This can be purchased by you on the party package bill for a discounted rate of $15.50 or you can have adults purchase their own tickets BEFORE the party at the box office for the regular price of $24.99! Adults may choose to opt out of the tour and only join in the Fun Zone, but they cannot enter the Fun Zone until your designated time.
- No. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items from your party, so we ask no presents simply to protect your loved one’s birthday gifts. Any presents brought to the aquarium will be asked to be ran to your car before the guided tour.
- Yes, there is $150.00 deposit upon booking that is non-refundable but will be used towards the final birthday party bill on the day of the party.
- Final numbers must be confirmed by the Thursday before your party by 3:00pm. The birthday coordinator will call you the week of your party to confirm details.
