Downtown Aquarium is the product of redeveloping two downtown Houston landmarks – Fire Station No. 1 and the Central Waterworks Building. This magnificent six-acre entertainment and dining complex is a 500,000-gallon aquatic wonderland, home to over 200 species of aquatic life from around the globe. With a full-service restaurant, an upscale bar, a fully equipped ballroom, aquatic & geographic exhibits, shopping and a variety of amusements, Downtown Aquarium has it all!

Exhibit Hours of Operation

Monday – Thursday: 10am – 9pm
Friday & Saturday: 10am – 11pm
Sunday: 10am – 9pm

Restaurant Hours of Operation

Monday – Thursday: 11am – 9pm
Friday & Saturday: 11am – 11pm
Sunday: 11am – 9pm

From North Houston

Take I-45 South, exit McKinney. Turn left on Bagby. Downtown Aquarium will be on your left after you cross Texas Street.

From West Houston

Take I-10 East to Smith exit. Turn right on Franklin. Turn left on Bagby. Downtown Aquarium will be on your right.

From South Houston

Take Hwy 288 to I-45 North. Exhibit Houston Ave/Memorial Drive. Stay in the right hand lane for Memorial. Make a right at the Memorial light. Go to Bagby and make a left at the light. Downtown Aquarium will be on your left.
